Directions to school: From east bound I-70: Take Elm Grove exit, turn left, go to light. Go straight through light. Approx 1/4 mile turn in to Wheeling Park. Follow road up hill approximately 1 mile. You will see school at top of the hill. From west bound I-70: Take Elm Grove exit, turn left to light. Take a right at light and go through 2 more lights. Approximately 1/4 mile past 2nd light, turn in to Wheeling Park. Follow road to top of hill (one mile). School is on the right.

If it seems like the Wheeling Park Patriots are always near the top of West Virginia AAA wrestling, it's because .... they are!

Established in 1976, Wheeling Park High School has claimed six West Virginia AAA team championships (1977, 1978, 1981, 1986, 1987, and 2006) and has finished in the top five 28 times and the top 10 seven times through the 2008 season.

There have been no fewer than 40 individual state champs from Park, and nine All-Americans:

For 2009-10, the Park Patriots have 9 returning starters and two returning state placers in Marcus George (3rd) and Zack Kimmins (3rd) coming back from last years runner up team. We lost five outstanding wrestlers in Bauer, Majetich, Taylor, Doyle and Goodwin, four of which have decided to continue wrestling at the college level. They will be hard to replace. The addition of Kyle Bauer will make a huge immediate impact in our line-up. Along with that we have our best freshman class in many years coming in. This year it will be a great challenge for this team to accomplish what the previous year's teams have done. In the past five years Wheeling Park has finished 3rd, 1st, 4th, 2nd, and 2nd in the state tournament.
