Directions to school: John Marshall is on WV State Rt. 2 in Glen Dale, WV. It is 10 Miles south of Wheeling and 1 mile north of Moundsville. John Marshall will hold all matches at the John Marshall Fieldhouse in Moundsville. The Fieldhouse sits behind the JM football field and beside Moundsville Middle School. It is located 2 miles south of JM and 1 mile north of the Moundville Bridge.

John Marshall traditionally has a strong dual meet team and a perennial top 10 team at the State Tournament. The Monarchs claimed State Championship laurels in 1972, 1973, 1974, and 1979. JM earned runner-up honors in 1969, 1975, 1977, and 1983. They have crowned 36 individual State Champions. In addition, John Marshall has been OVAC tournament champions in 1972, 1973, 1974, 1977, and 1983.

John Marshall is fed by two strong Junior High programs, Moundsville Middle and Sherrard Middle.
