The new Calhoun High/Middle school is located on State Rt. 16 7.5 miles south of Grantsville on Mt Zion ridge, and 3.5 miles north of the intersection of Rt 16 with U.S. Rt 33/119 at Millstone.

From I-79 (South of Braxton County), I-79 North to Big Otter Exit (Exit 40) then North on State Rt. 16 about 33 miles to beautiful Mount Zion Ridge. The school is visible on the left.

From I-79 (North of Braxton County) I-79 South to Burnsville Exit (Exit 79) then west on State Rt. 5 to Grantsville (35 miles). Then 7.5 south on State Rt. 16.

Calhoun County High School has made a name for itself as one of the top wrestling programs in West Virginia. The Red Devils have 25 straight winning seasons to their credit, and in recent years have become a regular fixture in the top ten at the State Tournament. In 2002, Calhoun won its first LKC wrestling championship, and repeated in 2003 and 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009.

Calhoun is coached by Mike Stump, a Calhoun High wrestler 1967-70, now entering his 23rd year at CHS. He will be assisted by Coaches Chris Morris, Runner up (2000) 2X state champion (2001-2002), Justin Ashley 3X state champion (2002-2004), and Derek Metz,(2002)state champion. Also assisting the Red Devils will be Anthony Moralas, Richwood graduate and West Liberty wrestler.
