Cabell Midland High School is a four year high school established in the fall of 1994 as a result of the consolidation of Milton High School and Barboursville High School.

The Cabell Midland Wrestling program has been one of the top athletic sports in CMHS history under the guidance and tutelage of Coach Ernie Sparks. Coach Sparks was a graduate of Barboursville High School and wrestled for Marshall University before starting his coaching career at Barboursville High School.

Since the inception of CMHS wrestling, under Coach Sparks, the program has accumulated many accomplishments. CMHS wrestling is one of the top programs each year in the state of West Virginia, has had numerous state place finishers, and proud to have crowned 7 State Champions:

In the 2006-07 season Midland's long time coach Ernie Sparks retired,and was succeded by Mike Ramsey Ernie's assistant and now head coach. Under coach Ramsey Midlands program has continued with the success with two more State champions and more to come.

Cabell Midland has continued a winning tradition by the strong feeder programs. Milton Middle (Coach Jim LeMaster) and Barboursville Middle (Coach Todd Childers) along with the Junior Knights in Barboursville (Coach David McCormick) and Junior Knights in Milton (Coach Steve Fisher).
