BEAR TRACKS 2021- 2022
Edition – Preseason
Date of Issue: December 1, 2021
1. Wrestlers are ranked per established criteria. Ranking will change as head to head matches occur, wrestlers change weight classes and when a wrestler enters into action.
2. All regional head to head matches are now deemed significant. These matches will be tracked under each regional heading.
3. All other significant matches will be recorded as last season.
4. There will be a few non-ranked wrestlers “perched” down under their region heading. This is where non-state tournament wrestlers and freshman will be placed until they win matches to justify ranking. Look for this area to grow.

Bear Tracks - 182 to 285 Preseason
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!
Re: Bear Tracks - 182 to 285 Preseason
Great work getting this information out! The only person that I think you forgot about at
AAA 285 is the Summers kid from Bridgeport. I think he probably should be at the top of the list! He beat Tamburin last year in the regionals but did not get a chance to wrestle in the State Tournament because of covid! I may have gotten the criteria wrong for your post, if I did I am sorry! I'm Old!!!

Price of Point Pleasant should be ranked high, I do not see him on the list.

Despite not getting to compete in the state tournament due to a BS Covid exposure decision, Price was ranked anyway. He is listed as #2 at 145.
This was done through Bear Track executive decision because he is an uncrowned state champion. However, in an effort to not completely throw the system out of the window, I was not going to place him above any returning state champion.

My bad. I was rushing around packing. I checked on Colby Price before releasing the preseason rankings. The word on the street is he will be 220 but not ready yet.

Summers was going to be made preseason #1 by way of Bear Tracks Executive Order. However, I learned he is dealing with a football injury while I was running down all returning state qualifying wrestlers. Despite getting the shaft last season, I did recon on Summers and Starkey of BP. Thanks for the input though.

Opening night saw the top four 182s bang heads in Title Town. When was the last time this ever happened???

Has Bush and Edge wrestled each other lately? Surprised Edge can still hold 182.

Don't know about Bush and Edge, but Edge looks real good at 182 and didn't seem fatigued or drained against Edwards. He doesn't look to have gotten any taller, which helps.
