Rankings?
When are the individual rankings coming out? They're long overdue.

Re: Rankings?
With all the complaining on here I doubt they do them.
Re: Rankings?
I look forward to these rankings each year and love following so it's very disappointing that they have not been posted this year..
Re: Rankings?
Do the research and post your rankings. Stop complaining
Re: Rankings?
Its not complaining if people are asking for rankings. And an individuals rankings isnt really the same as the coaches polls where all the head to heads, big wins, and opinions from those who see the wrestlers most are considered. Rankings and agreements/disagreements over rankings are part of what keeps people interested. #makerankingsgreatagain

Re: Rankings?
I feel that we all could work together and at least put together the top 5 in each weight class. There are some people out there that probably knows certain weight classes in great detail. Lets get started.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

While working independent of each other, it appears we are very close on many of the weight classes. You have done a great job. However, why no guesses at 106?

Re: Rankings?
Right now there are 4 different versions with 4 different orders depending on who gets the nod for a few schools going into the post season.

Re: Rankings?
For me, ranking the individual wrestlers is a problem right now because so many wrestlers are moving between weight classes still. I was skimming through and consistently saw wrestlers in nearly every weight class that regularly wrestle other weight classes. I saw one who has scores reported for three different weight classes. It can be a challenge to rank someone in a weight class when just this past weekend they wrestled a higher or lower class.

Understood and agreed. However, these rankings are just for fun. We got to use the best available information to make the current ranking. In past seasons, we have all seen where "Wrestler A" is ranked in a certain weight class one week and then he is ranked in a different weight class the following week. It all goes with the territory.

There definitely was some wild stuff happening at the WSAZ regarding the 106 pounders from Point Pleasant and East Fairmont.
1. Cassucio/East Fairmont
2. Cornell/Point Pleasant
Barber of Oak Hill and the gentleman from Hoover are other names to mention.

Point Pleasant, University and East Fairmont were scheduled to wrestle tonight. With two wrestlers from each Point Pleasant and East Fairmont placing at the WSAZ, we should get an idea as to who the 106s are now for the two schools.

106 covered by red green but it was Boyers over Stockett 2 to 0 in IT, takedown in sudden victory
113 Whorton with pin and tech fall.
120 Staud over Smith, Laya did not wrestle
126 Simpson over Freeman, Whorton tech fall over Freeman, pins Simpson

170
at WSAZ Devaney beat Kotsko and Patterson beat Devaney. Devaney beat Daugherty last year at state, but they haven’t met this year so far.

Weight class is tangled up. Williams beat Daugherty 5-3 last week.
I'd go:
170 AA/A
1. Patterson
2. Devaney
3. Williams
4. Daugherty
5. Moore
6.Kotsko
Any one of them could win it, but I lean towards Patterson, who has 2 wins over Williams (very close ones) and 1 over Devaney, for the top spot.

Kotsko beat Patterson, Kotsko and Devaney split, Kotsko was beating Daugherty when he got pinned. Anyone's ball game.
Patterson is tough. Devaney has beaten both this year. Have any wrestled Daugherty this year besides Kotsko?

Williams just beat Daughtery by decision a few days ago.
This weight class could be wrestled 10 times and the outcome as far as the order of the top six would be different probably 10 times.

And Kotsko beat Patterson. So you actually have a weird circle of wins/defeats at WSAZ where it is hard to name one ahead of the other.
Adding more mud to the water...Patterson defeated Moore at National Guard Duals 3-0, Williams defeated Daugherty last weekend at Mountaineer Matchup (5-3) and has two losses to Patterson (3-2, 3-1), Moore defeated Devaney (2-0) at JCI. Also I seem to remember Daugherty and Kotsko met earlier in the year, but I can't find that result so I might just be crazy.
Good luck figuring this mess out...

It’s going to be fun to watch and see who is at the top of their game for the state tournament.
I was just commenting because on the other thread the conversation was that lastnhead to head ruled
And obviously with this group this tight, it can go any which way each time

You literally responded to a Post on which I said Williams beat Daugherty, and asked if anyone besides Kotsko had wrestled Daugherty. Read man.

All of the 170s in AA/A are incredible! This will truly come down to who is the best on THAT GIVEN DAY!!!!!
I hope all of them are and stay healthy. Settle it on the mat with no excuses, no drama, no controversy, no unfair advantages.
Good luck men.
