State Freestyle Tournament

Surprised that there hasn't been a mention of the state freestyle tournament on the board. Anyone have some updates on how things went and who qualified?

What's more surprising is that The Bear was there but he hasn't reported on it. There must not have been much to see.

Not a vast amount of numbers but most of those that attended were upper level wrestlers.

Most of the wrestlers there were some of the state's top competitors.

I made numerous observations. I also saw a couple of guys that will be new on the WV high school scene next season that will be on the watch list.

It is also obvious that many of the wrestlers there have been working hard since both state tournaments.

It was a brief event.

Not to pick, but I believe there are some issues with these results.

At Junior 182 Lanham beat both Devaney and Starcher.
Starcher lost to both Devaney and Lanham
Devaney lost to Lanham and beat Starcher

Would that not make it

1. Lanham
2 Devaney
3. Starcher
