Wrestlingfan23202,.....

Although your predictions may be accurate in some weight classes, I think your prediction at 126 is missing a key piece of that final result. Although Whorton fell victim to the pill as many do, that only makes him more dangerous !!! I doubt that there are many that feed off of a loss as he does which are far and few between. Time will certainly tell in the next severally days. Thank you for being the first to post a AA prediction. Good luck to all !!

Gonna be hard for Cook to finish in top 3 at 182 considering he won his region at heavyweight. LoL!!

Region 4 heavy weight's was weak and inexperienced and several schools lacking wrestlers. I don't think the states will be to kind to Sissonville's Cook at heavy weight. I wish nothing but luck for that young man that's a lot of weight to give up. He could have placed at 182 or 220.

What are you saying here? This isn't gonna be a repeat of the AA/A region 3 cake walk.

Sorry to see that Indy's Alex Hart was unable to wrestle in the regionals after an injury late in the season. Get better soon Alex and we'll see you next year.

126 is going to be one heck of a weight class to watch.
I also think people are overlooking what region 3 may bring to the table at 160, Warden looks hot here at the end of the season and the fellas he shares a region with are right there with him. Should be an exciting weight class to watch. Gamon Trigg over Bosek will be my dark horse of the tournament, MOW could very likely go to him or the winner of 126 if this plays out.

132 will also be tight, Seacrest looks poised to finally win that title, but Hunter Taylor will likely be taking great measures to play spoiler. 170 will also feature some excellent wrestling. At 95 we'll finally get to see what Gunnoe is made of, Nice is a stud and took Alex Daniels to the brink a year ago, should be a clear favorite IMO, but he's not without his challengers. At HWT, although I see Carey being mostly uncontested, the region 3 tournament shook a lot of things up and makes the rest of the HWT landscape very interesting to watch pan out.

All in all its looking like a good tournament- should be well worth the price of admission!

I will admit that Region 1 is probably the most loaded, but to say that Region 3 was a cake walk is putting down a bunch of kids that don't go to Indy but that bust their butts and are quality wrestlers. It's like saying AAA Region 4 is a cake walk because PSouth has 11 kids in the tournament when there are actually top teams in that region.

Actually South qualified 12/14 wrestlers. Now due to another wrestler scratching, South moves another kid in. 13 out of 14 in for South.

I was at AA/A region 3 watching on Friday night. After watching many wrestlers from many other schools besides Indy, I am lead to believe that this region has many very good coaches.

That's 2 times in this thread you are assuming and insinuating...I think there are a lot of great wrestlers throughout the state in all classes and regions but when you qualify 13 out of 13 and 11 are champions then the word cakewalk is accurate and if I might be so inclined to assume myself, I would assume the 999point comment as perhaps someone thinks the state tournament will be a cakewalk for them teamwise as well.

I guess only your assumptions are the valid ones eh?
I can see where you would assume Region 3 is a cake walk, cant argue with qualifying all 13 and 11 champs giving you that impression. I know my opinion is biased as my kid wrestles for a non-Indy region 3 team. I hope that the non-Indy wrestlers that qualified from Region 3 prove you wrong and show well at the tournament. As a region I'll concede that we aren't on par, YET, with Region 1, but I do think we compare well against the other regions in A/AA.
I'll end my participation in this thread with a final assumption. If Indy wins 4 or more championships and places 12 out of 14, then maybe the're just that good. Even if they wrestle in a cakewalk region.

I think you're a little off at 113 and 160 there.
Lusher wins 113.
Devaney has a tough draw with Young and then Starcher or Williams, win or lose. Moore is also looking tough at 160.

AA/A is like a mine field. You have numerous schools bringing a handful of wrestlers. However, some of these wrestlers are top, top contenders.

Well I hope your son wins a state title. You shouldn't get mad at team comments unless every kid on your team works year round to be the best. If you've got 3,5,10 whatever that just get their singlet in December and turn it in next week you get what you get. We got a few kids that want it more than anything and wrestling is their life and we got 10 more that give two $&@?!) less. Many of our kids made region 1 quarters or semis a cakewalk for their opponent. I mean nothing bad toward your region or your team. Not everyone wants it for real!!!!

Fair enough. Best of luck to your team. We ended the season with 5 wrestlers. We lost two wrestlers who refused to cut down 1 weight class to better balance the team so I understand some of your frustration. Also, football is king at our school so our mat room was repurposed as the weight room many years ago and our kids were given the visiting team locker room to use as a mat room for 3 months of the year. Our kids wrestle on 12x12 mats in garages and at other teams mat rooms in the off season.
