Watters should of chosen top

I think Flynn whiffed on this one. With the three point take down choosing down and getting that escape isn’t as useful as it used to be. With the score being 3-1 he still needed a takedown or turn to win. You could see after the first exchange where Kasak scored pretty easy on Watters shot that getting that takedown was going to be tough and after that exchange Watters became weary of shooting.
His best position is by far on top. I think in that situation you have to give him an opportunity in his best position. Kinda sucked.

Either way Watters had an insane run. Even with that lose and finishing 4th he still scored the same amount of points as a champion would if they had no bonus.
Congrats to both him and Hall. Just hope Hall comes back and we can keep Watters.

Conventional wisdom says he had to take down but I think you may be correct, he sure benefited being on top for the 3rd against Parco
