165 Peyton Hall WVU Chester WV

Hall is 26-7 and a 9 seed. opens with Purdue and then likely Nebraska. Setting up a quarterfinal match with O'Toole in the quarter finals Friday morning. Peyton could shock the college wrestling community, he is very capable of pulling the upset. He has wrestled Keegan close before and there is a natural inclination for Keegan and the MIssouri coaches to overlook the quarters, thinking ahead to the semi final matchup with Carr. If Hall fails to pull the upset then it appears that the bracket will put him in position to get on the podium but his route to get third will mean beating the loser of Carr/Hamiti and the loser of Messenbrink/Rameriz.

184 Cameron Pine Clarion Ranson WV

Pine wrestled for Campbell and now for Clarion. Cameron enters the tournament with a 23-7 record. Seeded 27th his opening match is Penn State's 6 Seed Bernie Truax. Truax has what appears to be a hard cut to 184 so getting him right after the weigh-in is probably Cameron's best shot. Unfortunately, even with the upset, he has Plott from Oklahoma State waiting in the quarters and then Salazar (Minnesota) in the Semis.

Thank you. Obviously knew Hall but not Pine. 184, hmm sounds like a nice transfer if he wants to come back to WV lol.
Thx

Having already transferred from Campbell to clarion it may be tricky. He get a pass if he transferred within the timeframe of Kolat leaving for navy but if not then I think he needs special permission from the ncaa. I’m not sure how difficult or easy that is.

Dennis Robin majored him the dual match against Clarion.
