Hello West Virginia Mat and West Virginia wrestling fans,
We are excited to announce the launch of "Mat Time" a podcast about all things wrestling in West Virginia. "Mat Time" will cover amateur, prep, and collegiate wrestling in the state.
We decided to start this podcast to ensure more coverage and exposure for West Virginia wrestlers and its member teams / schools. Other than West Virginia Mat, many media outlets do not produce much wrestling content other than around WSAZ / State Tournament time and we want to change that. Our goal is to provide at minimum a weekly show dedicated to current events, news, results, team polls, and more at the various different levels of the West Virginia wrestling community.
We hope to build a strong following with our podcast. The podcast home is https://anchor.fm/mat-time . You will be able to listen straight from the anchor browser, the anchor app, or various other apps. We submitted to apple podcasts this morning and should be up and running on there soon. We are also on spotify and pocketcast.
Take a listen to "Mat Time - Episode 1 - Launch" at https://anchor.fm/mat-time/episodes/Mat ... nch-es5bc4 and let us know what you think. Looking forward to any and all podcast feedback. You can comment on this post or message us at our wv mat account.
Thank you for listening, thank you for the support, and thank you for joining us in the effort to help build up the West Virginia wrestling community and help get the coverage / exposure these wrestlers deserve!

I'm excited to see this. I was just thinking about something like this the other day. I was not sure, but did not think anything like this served WV wrestling. I'll definitely be tuning in to support the podcast!
Re: "Mat Time" - A podcast about all things wrestling in West Virginia
I want to start off by saying that in no way do I want any of what I'm saying to be interpreted as a negative commentary on what you are doing. I hope you can implore those involved in WV wrestling that one of the simplest and basic things that can be done to promote more interest among the fan base is to post results of events and do so in a timely fashion. If the results aren't available, it's almost as if it never occurred. This is now magnified more than ever with the limitation of live spectators. Thank you for your efforts.
