1. Great job promoting your tournament. By listing the teams, the wrestlers, parents and fans know what to expect and it looks like they can expect some action.

2. I counted 38 teams. I applaud your tournament director's Big Jake (John Wayne) style in bringing teams in. How do you manage if and when you have 38 wrestlers in a weight class??

I'm the head coach and tournament director. We have never ran into that issue before. In the very slim chance that we do we will probably wrestle pigtails into the championship and consolation to be fair. Kinda like how the NCAA's are done. More teams = more competition is the way I see it!

I like your style coach!! It is no wonder you have more WV teams attending this season than last season. So basically, with the reality of most teams not having a full varsity line up, you compensate by just inviting/letting in more teams???

I am sure your "bye percentage" by weight class is low.

Yes it is so rare to see full weight classes at tournaments these days. We are actually able to normally get a lot of back ups into the tournament. This year may prove tougher to get them in, however. Should be some great semifinal and finals matches.

Coach, many people say championships are won in the off season. The same logic applies to great tournaments. They are built in the off season too.

When a wrestler comes back for the next season with the same old stuff, he/she typically gets the same results.

The same can be said for wrestling tournaments. When the tournament comes back with the same old stuff, and ignores the previous season's results, they can only hope for the same results.

Good luck
