July HS FLO rankings has 4 West Virginians ranked in the top 20, including three in the top 5 of their resoective weight classes.
1st- Braxton Amos, 195
3rd- Peyton Hall, 145
4th- Brayden Roberts, 145
18th- John Martin Best, 152
I don’t recall that many being ranked before, especially so high. WV wrestling is on the rise. Congrats to these wrestlers. Super impressive.
JMB should be ranked higher IMO.

Re: Latest Flo HS rankings
The graduating class of 2020 was the best class throughout the state when they entered high school. Many of these wrestlers made a major impact and freshmen and have stayed on top every year.
Going back in time to when these guys were freshmen, Best defeated Roberts in the state finals. Hall defeated 2x state champ Cole Laya in the state finals. Braxton Amos was sidelined but made an incredible comeback and won two Fargo titles that Summer.
Other top names to mention are Joey "The Animal" Miller, a 2x state champ and 3x finalist. Chase Patterson, 2x finalist also fighting the injury bug, Sean Dawson, 2x finalist and 5th place winner. Also, Nate Warden was a state finalist as a freshman. He moved to Virginia where he has been a 2x state finalist and one time champion. Last but not least, Zach Frazier is incredible. I have not seen another WV 285 with his technical ability.
Class of 2020 is now heading into their senior year. Four are nationally ranked. I agree that Frazier should also be ranked. Frazier belongs on a D1 mat if it wasn't for a D1 gridiron.
Amos, Best, Roberts and Hall benefit from off season and in season scheduling. That obviously has hurt Frazier. Amos, Best, Roberts and Hall all attend Super 32, Ironman and NHSCA. Amos, Best and Roberts also attend Fargo and Powerade. In some combination, these guys also make appearances at NHSCA Duals. Anyway, they go to these nationally recognized tournaments and do well.
Furthermore, all four of these nationally ranked wrestlers have been in and out of the rankings for a few years. I am not surprised at their current rankings. On the other hand, WV doesn't have any other wrestlers ranked that will be underclassmen in 2019/2020. There are a few that have the talent, but they need to hit the big tournaments.
I applaud the administration, coaching staff and parents involved that got the men above into Ironman. South took a small group and have built on it each season. Two seasons ago, Oak Glen got Hall in the Ironman door and then they took 3 wrestlers last season. Last season, the Big Reds of Title Town sent their "BEST" man to Ironman and he placed. If South, Oak Glen and PHS can get a single wrestler in the Ironman door, then other schools could too. If you have the talent on your team, it might be time to rethink that "same ole, same ole" schedule and/or break tradition and help launch some of these kids into the national spot light.
Super 32 will be here in a little over three months. Maybe its fundraiser time and get a WV army together for Super 32?? John Marshall's Anthony Carmen went to Super 32 last season. Beat up a few guys. One was nationally ranked. The word on the street was he was getting calls on the drive back to WV despite NOT placing. He will be on the WVU mat next season.
