Former State Champ..

Postby Freakwave15 » Sun Feb 24, 2019 4:26 pm

I was looking through and found a few kids who won a state title as a freshman and never heard of them again... Tyler Cales 285?? What happened to him?

I believe he bullied other teammates and the staff didn’t put up with it and threw him off good for them!

Maybe he just out grew the weight class. That's a nicer rumor.

I believe Hull was a 3x state champ and placed 3rd one year.

Cales won the state title as a freshman and then went on to win Freshman NHSCA a little over a month later. He defeated South's Louden Haga in the NHSCA finals.
Holy smokes. Braxton Amos works out with a landmine now!!!!!!

Sorry for the confusion, I remember them wrestling just meant after high school wrestling...

The only other one and done im aware of is Corey Ratliff from Ripley. Won his freshman year and was gone..

Just seeing what those guys got into after winning through high school.

Won aaa as a freshman. Then Lewis county went double a and his sophomore year he faced the returning champ, I think a sr from phillipi maybe? But got beat by him. Dominated the other two years.

A lot of teams were scared off of Hull. Ended up signing with App St. Came home got in trouble and stayed home. Been in a lot of trouble. Honestly it's lucky they're connected.

They family has had some pretty tragic stuff happen to them that I'm sure lead to some of the problems.
