It is unfortunate that Amos didn't get a chance to wrestle with that 2017 team. Their upper weights were ridiculous with Lambiotte (170 champ), DeLong (182 champ), Allman (195 4X champ), Haga (285 runner-up and future champ) and then add Amos....that is a crazy line up.

Should be a very tight tournament. Coach Oldham always said the tournament was won during the consi rounds. South with 13 in the tournament definitely helps. It will be interesting to see. Some very good teams.

Well...Amos defeated #26 ranked Max Shaw from UNC on Saturday. However, he lost to #29 ranked Trey Rogers from Hofstra on Saturday. NCAA is deep with great wrestlers.

I think Covid has really disrupted a lot of things in many ways. Maybe as things open up, we will see more activity. I went to the Jr. Nationals in the summer of 82. It was an eye opening experience. I hope kids continue, and are able to take advantage of those kinds of opportunities.

Can't say I disagree with the number 1 on the list. Very dominant in the state, and does well at the highest levels outside of the state. Fargo is a real good indicator of what kind of wrestler you have.

Since nobody has responded. Huntington in AAA and East Fairmont for A/AA. Although, I think Huntington was very impressive at the regional tournament. They have a lot of very good wrestlers. South needs to wrestle well.

South has qualified all 14 wrestlers. Four have finished 3rd. The rest are in the finals. I have been keeping up to date on twitter.

Not sure about the different ways a wrestler can earn all-american status. I have always understood that earning all-american status in Fargo carries more weight. Anyone want to clarify?

I remember Armyman. I think that trip cost us $80 each. I believe we were crammed in vans for 12 or13 hours with no cell phones or Ipods. I also remember a lot of corn fields.

I was fortunate enough to make the trip in the summer of 1982. It was held at the University of Iowa at the time. It definitely has the nation's best. I went 0-2 in the freestyle. It was a great trip and great experience. Good luck to the West Virginia wrestlers attending.
