According to the Hayes middle school thread they are having a tournament the same day and they are looking for more teams. You may be able to get your b team in there.

This isnt the first time there will be a bye at the state tournament. In the 2004 AAA state tournament there were 3 byes at the 103 pound class. Region 4 had 2 byes, Region 3 had 1 bye. Are the 5th and 6th place winners from regions being let into the tournament if other regions didn't have enough kids in the bracket to send the top 4?

Thank you that answered part of my question. Do you have to go to a wvywa qualifier to be eligible to wrestle at regionals, or can you just show up at regionals and compete?
