Wrestlers not at States

Unless it is too personal to the kids and families involved, I have 2 questions regarding region 1 results for University. Matthew Simpson medical defaulted. Is he okay? Did Jace Stockett from University get hurt, not make weight, or what? Was surprised (and sad) not to see him coming to the States.

I believe Simpson has a concussion was said yesterday.

Thoughts and Prayers go out to the two wrestlers who were injured in the finals of the regional tournaments. With the extra week I hope they will both recover from their injuries. I know that in past years some coaches have used the medical forfeit or injury default as a strategy tool when they are afraid of wrestling the same guy two times in a row. I do not believe this was the case with these two fine young men who both have outstanding ethical coaches. If unable to recover bumping the regional finishers up one place and bringing in the 5th place wrestlers from these regions will change up the brackets.
