Parkersburg Jr States - March 5-6

Jr. States will be held March 5-6 in Parkersburg. Forms will be mailed prior to the end of the year and will be posted on this site very soon under Youth Open Wrestling.

That is a completely different Tournament.

It's the WVWYA state tournament.

Just out of curiosity, which teams have been in the top 3 in placers over the last couple years at the JrStates in Parkersburg?

From what I saw when I looked it up was Mahindra, Iron Eagles and Wheeling have been the top placers in the Jr States over the last few years and they are members of the WVYWA.

We have always attended the Jr States (5 years) but after some stuff I have heard with my own 2 ears I'm glad we have another choice. Glad money will be spread to all parts now not just 1. It is a good open tournament but time for a change. Good Luck to both organizations.Wrestling in WV needed this.

You are also in a youth forum. Lol. I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. It's not like the high school kids are wrestling so who cares. And no one is talking about changing teams. It's about where the best teams will be in YOUTH. Your point is invalid.

Looking at the title of this topic, am I taking it that this is a city of Parkersburg championship or Parkersburg thinks in left the union and became a 51st state.

Either way wouldn't someone want to be a WV State Champion as opposed to a Parkersburg Champion.

Just curious. City titles are usually not as good as state titles.

What i think is people are trying to continue to stir this pot. The guy posted that the forms will be out soon. I think some are just trying to continue to beat a dead horse on the topic.
