What is AAA 285 looking like

Look for a AAA state title rematch. Whereas both wrestlers are in the same region, the pill will keep them separate.
I hear Holstion of Riverside is going 285. He could make things interesting.
I wonder if Capital's Harris returns to the mat this year. He could be a force at 285 also.

No rematch this year I heard midlands 285 wasn't wrestling just focusing on his scholarship offer in the shot put / discuss so a new champion will be crowned

I heard Holley from CM is weighing 240+ and is going 285. I expect him to win it.

Holley 240+?!?! Jump from 182? If that's the case, what are you feeding that boy Garland?

Holley went 220 at the watered down NHSCA Nationals last March. He was All-American, went 4-2 and placed 5th.
If he is buffed up rather than puffed up, he might have put Hicks on the bench anyway.
This info changes the landscape of 285.

Holstion will be at 285. He has also put in tremendous work in the offseason with camps and strength training.

285 is going to be interesting this season. The WSAZ will be loaded.

NHSCA is not Powerade but I wouldn't go as far as call it watered down. Chaston lost in the semis to a PA state runner up, lost to an AZ state champ in the conso then won the 5th place match against a Missouri state champ. I think that's a decent showing.
Good luck to all this season. May you be injury free. I'll be rooting for all the WV wrestlers when they travel to out of state tournaments.

He wasn't being serious when he called NHSCA watered down. Someone else said it had become watered down in a post last year and Bearhugger has been sarcastically referring to it as "those watered down NHSCA Nationals" ever since. He made it to Virginia Beach last spring and he knows how tough that tournament is.

IndyHart is right. I was making an inside joke. The NHSCA is an excellent tournament for all wrestlers to attend. I am sure it is tougher than the Powerade.

LOL
I try to interject some humor occasionally to counterbalance the intensity that rubs off on many of us from watching the hard working masses on the mats.

Bearhugger said that Haga would be in the championship again at the top although he did not mention him by name.

Also, this thread was started by jimhaga285, a possible relative of Louden (sp?).

If Haga places second in Region 4 he will not have to face Holley (the chosen one) before the finals at the state tournament. Therefore, he has a good pathway to the state finals again.

Jim Haga is not a relative as far as I know. Maybe somewhere on a branch far far away. But I've never met him. Or heard of him u til now. Just sayin. I am his father. I'm looking forward to a great season by all of the young men in this and all classes. But you obviously know who I'm rooting for now.

Indeed. It always helps to start at the beginning and read your way into the conversation.

I am interested in seeing the new and improved Holstien from Riverside. The Chosen One or The All American will run into The New & Improved in the semi finals.
However, Hampshire has a 285 pounder that placed 6th last season. He is due back. Who knows what kind of an off season training program he has been involved in. He might flatten all of the above.
Region 4 might be too much for The Chosen One or The All American. They could enter the state tournament so beat up, some kid out of region 2 will be primed to take them out.
As for The New & Improved, surviving region 3 is another set of challenges. Blizzard in 2015. Power outage in 2016. He might get flooded out.

Holstion is recovering from an injury during training at Edinboro in the off season. He is feeling good, but the decision was to sit him for the first few matches.

That is correct. Holstion is also an All American.
