There are a few but I am keeping them in the dark.
On that same subject, all of AA/A region 3 was in the dark last weekend.

Not sure that he qualifies as a dark horse being a regional champion, but Sam Heath from Independence is really peaking at the right time. The kid is an absolute cardio machine. For a first year wrestler, he is doing great!

Not sure he would classify as a dark horse but Hunter Hicks 285 Cabell Midland just looks better and better each time I see him wrestle. He won his region but does not seem to in the conversations as a contender. I think he will be, but that's why we wrestle.

120 I would say Carman is more of a dark horse than Shamblin. They did wrestle in the semi-finals at regionals. Carman edged him out but if they meet again at states it could be a different story. They both have there work cut out for them if you look at the pairings. Shamblin has to get by Stewart and then probably Kinder to get the the Semi-finals and Carman has to get by Hall and then probably Smith. In any case I would love to see the rematch since the first match was so exciting. One thing is for sure, I know both of them are hungry and looking to prove themselves.

You are absolutely correct : The Carman kid does make more sense as a " dark horse" !
Thanks

I think a senior could lose at 138 by a freshman

I'm very biased at 152 but I believe Hinzman is a dark horse here. He's been so close to winning his tough matches and I think he is peaking at the right time for some upsets! Good luck to all

Tucker Lawson/182/Independence.
This kid will lure people into OT like quicksand.
